In 2001, SGRM was formed by SGR Holdings, LLC (“SGRH”), a privately-held Houston-based company which develops, constructs, owns and operates high-deliverability salt cavern natural gas storage facilities.
SGRM began construction of Southern Pines Energy Center in February 2006 and state and local permitting and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) approvals necessary to construct and operate the Project have been received. Southern Pines began commercial operations May 1, 2008.
